Planet in Danger: Water Crisis
It is a well-known fact that the crisis associated with freshwater shortage is global. And this is not just a problem for developing countries.
Considering the fact that the world is facing an unprecedented threat - global climate change, it becomes obvious that drinking water will become a universal problem on our planet in the near future.
Let's take a look at some climate disaster statistics.
Europe is seeing a rise in the number of tornadoes. In 1970 there were 45 tornadoes a year, and in 2023 - 800! That’s 18 times more!!!
According to the European Severe Weather Database (ESWD),
from 2000 to 2004, 661 cases of abnormal precipitation were recorded in Europe.
From 2019 to 2023, there were 29,031 cases. This means that abnormal precipitation has become 44 times more frequent.
Extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and abnormal precipitation, are becoming more frequent and intense, causing immense damage to the environment, the economy, and human life.
All of this is reflected in the fact that the infrastructure that is supposed to help people survive after cataclysms is becoming unusable.
All of this are alarming signals that cannot be ignored.
Recognizing all the consequences of climate disasters, ALLATRA volunteers are already addressing this issue today.
ALLATRA International Public Movement is an international movement that unites people from more than 180 countries around the world to fight the climate crisis.
We, the volunteers of ALLATRA, are not just talking about the problem, we are actively working!
Among other things, we are researching existing technologies to address climate issues and provide people with water. And such a technology exists.
It was discussed in detail in my previous articles.
